Totally Bamboo's NewBoo Utensil Holder is unique, beautiful and practical. This durable, long lasting utensil holder is constructed of NewBoo, a lovely, distinctive and ecologically responsible material. NewBoo is made entirely from rapidly renewable bamboo, this newly developed material is completely tree free, yet it invokes the warmth and beauty of an exotic tropical hard wood. All the sophisticated aesthetics yet none of the guilt. Originally developed for use as railroad ties in China, from this humble beginning Totally Bamboo recognized its potential and has refined the manufacturing process to its current form. Utilizing a specially developed system of heating pulverized bamboo fiber, it is then extremely compressed, permanently fusing it together utilizing a food safe, formaldehyde free adhesive to form a void-free block from which Totally Bamboo's NewBoo products are made. Holder has a 5-1/4-inch diameter and is 7-inch tall.
